The opening page of the christiancafe.com page is a very warm and inviting page. The sign in for new members is free for 10 days, at which time, I am guess you will need to buy a membership. There is a membership page is where you enter your personal information.
After doing so, you will be brought to a page with a questionnaire about your beliefs in God, the denomination you prefer, church involvement, your mood, your organizational habits, sense of humor, favorite type of music, your form of transportation, and where you like to travel. Other questions include what personality type you have, your quirks or habits, fashion sense, how people would describe you, your intellect, favorite reading type, relationship type and if you are willing to relocate.
After completing the questionnaire, there is a section to fill in some things about yourself, your personality, past relationships, here you can write anything you want about any of it and it is saved as part of your information. Once you complete this you get a membership login and password, they are fairly similar in nature.
Once you enter, there is a menu of items that you can choose from. Along with it, there is a who’s viewed me, who’s online, and who’s new link for each that you can click on. As well, there is a Today’s Birthday tab so you can wish others on the site a happy birthday if you wish. They also have a Café Blog and an iphone app that you can add if you own an iphone. Within the icons, there is a new mail tab, and you know if you have new mail because it blinks repeatedly unless you decide to click on it. When you do so, it will inform you that you must confirm your email address before reading it, it is a welcome message. I know because I confirmed my email.
The other tabs on the page include the main page, which you are on when you enter the site. The who’s on tab, which shows users pictures, their gender, age, the type of relationship they seek, the location where they are, the region where they are, the café venue and viewed tabs, and instant messaging tab, so you can send instant messages to those who are set up for it and want to receive them.
If you choose the quick match tab, you can see profiles of those close to you in age, location and Christian faith of the opposite sex. It states what type of relationship they are looking for so you can decide if they are right for you. If you are looking for someone in particular, searching by username, new members, who’s online, or for birthdays, you can do so under the search tab.
If you want to update your profile, there is a profile page, as well as a page where you can post a new photo. The profile page lets you add personal information about yourself. At this point, you can also change your password to something a little more discreet. If you deem it necessary, you may change the answers you put in at the beginning during the questionnaire.
If you want to chat, there is a tab for that as well, all tabs stay at the top, no matter which page you go to for ultimate convenience. When you choose to enter the chat room it will let you know that inappropriate or foul language or suggestive chat is not appropriate and will not be tolerated. Discussions should be on political, biblical, or theological discussions, as it is a Christian matchmaking site. However, to use this service you do have to have an upgraded membership, this is so they can avoid abuse of the chat room.
Next, to these are favorites and membership tabs. The favorites tab allows you to save your favorite photos of online and offline people. The membership tab allows you to upgrade or change your membership so that you can have access to the full site. Therefore, if you intend to do a 10 day trial, you will want to upgrade soon after.
The next tab is the prayers tab where you can read through, or even enter your own prayers so that others can read them. Under that is tips, tips is for how to use the site, how to improve your profile, things of that nature. Under links, you will find links to different sites so that you can check out other Christian or family type sites. Christiancafe.com holds a strong moral and ethic code to their followers and expects those online to be respectful.
